The Internet Society of Trinidad and Tobago Chapter with our partners, seek to assist in making available computers to provide students with access to online learning to continue their education during the Covid-19 pandemic.
On Thursday May 21 2020 the Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society (https://www.ttcs.tt), had an online call on to discuss the possibility of refurbishing computers to give to students who do not have immediate access to computing and online access at home.
During the call there was agreement that the Internet Society of Trinidad and Tobago (ISOC TT) will lend support to providing components for refurbishment as well as conducting discussion with the ISP’s to facilitate free access to the internet where possible, along with providing access to online learning resources if needed but unavailable.
The Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society will provide the volunteers as well as provide a hub to collect other donations of added computers and parts for the project.
Restore a Sense of I Can (RSC) will provide computers for refurbishment and handle distribution back to the principals association to have them distributed to students in need.
We call on all members to assist and contribute where possible to this endeavor.
