The Internet Society of Trinidad and Tobago Chapter with our partners, seek to assist in making available computers to provide students with access to online learning to continue their education during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The executive is pleased to announce that the chapter was able to donate a total of Seventy Five (75) Solid State Drives (SSD’s) along with Twenty Five (25) USB Wi-Fi 2.4/5Ghz and Bluetooth Dongles to the refurbishment effort, this resulted in Seventy Five (75) computers being refurbished Twenty Five (25) above the initial Fifty (50) we estimated.

The Ministry of Education has launched their online learning platform and members of the chapter are collaborating with the Ministry on online learning teaching methods for assisting the Teachers and Students adapt to this new way of schooling.
Most of the ISP’s have in varying degrees offered free access to students to access online learning resources with the MOE sites being zero rated.

Both feature joint members of the Internet Society Trinidad and Tobago Chapter and the Trinidad and Tobago Computer Society Simon Fraser and Dev Teelucksingh.
